What is Scrum Master Advanced
This two-day advanced training is designed for Scrum Masters who want to deepen both their theoretical understanding and practical application of Scrum. The program consists of structured learning blocks, each linked to four core themes:
- Working with Scrum in complex contexts,
- Supporting and coaching Scrum Teams and Product Owners,
- Organisational and stakeholder engagement, and
- Practical techniques for experienced professionals.
The training is practice-oriented and incorporates questions and experiences from seasoned Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches. Participants explore a wide range of subjects including empiricism, Scrum values, events and artefacts, Definition of Done, self-management, facilitation, coaching, product management, risk management, and leadership.
Day 1 covers the foundations of empiricism, Scrum values, event and artefact practices, and the practical challenges of maintaining a clear Definition of Done and enabling effective self-management. The day concludes with a short retrospective.
Day 2 begins with a check-in and continues with facilitation, coaching and mentoring, product-related topics such as backlog and stakeholder management and risk and leadership considerations. The final block focuses on preparation for the PSM II examination.
The training concludes with a discussion on earlier parked topics, to end with a outlook on the exams .
This program provides a structured environment for advanced learning, discussion, and practical exploration of complex Scrum situations, supporting participants in strengthening their professional development as a Scrum Master.
