Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will have acquired insight into the concept of architecture and the role of an architect in an organization. Furthermore you are introduced to TOGAF and its concepts such as the Architecture Development Method (ADM), the Enterprise Continuum (EC) and Architecture Governance. You also will understand the impact that the implementation of TOGAF9 has on your work and work processes.

Target Audience
This course is suited for people who will get involved in a TOGAF9 implementation but will not be working in the role of an architect. Examples of some roles are managers, project managers, software developers, application suite specialists, business analysts and IT-administrators. When you want to get informed about TOGAF9 without plunging into too much details of this framework, this course is the one for you.

Content
First you will get acquainted with the concept of architecture and how it can be implemented within an organization.

Subsequently you will be familiarized with the most important components and concepts of TOGAF such as:

  • Architecture Development MEthod (ADM)
  • Enterprise Continuum
  • The Architecture Content Framework
  • Architecture Governance
The various phases of the ADM cycle will be discussed as well as the correlation of the ADM with the other parts of the TOGAF framework. In an interactive workshop you will apply the freshly acquired knowledge of TOGAF in examining how TOGAF affects your own work processes.

Work Forms
This course is a combination of presentations and active learning formats such as interactive workshops. You will receive the book TOGAF Version 9 A Pocket Guide during this training course.
