Objectives
By the end of this course you will:
  • Be familiar with the core concepts and philosophy of ArchiMate
  • Know the differences between ArchiMate and other frameworks and languages
  • Be familiar with the notation and be able to apply the notation appropriately
  • Be able to apply ArchiMate in example cases

Target Audience
This training course is intended for architects who will apply ArchiMate in their daily work.

Training content
The training course combines the theoretical part with practical exercises. The following subjects will be discussed:
  • Concepts related to architecture and modeling
  • The structure, framework and notation of ArchiMate
  • The concepts of the application, business and technology layer
  • Positioning of ArchiMate in relation to other frameworks and languages
  • Types of relations and abstraction rules within ArchiMate
  • A typical architecture structure
  • Views, viewpoints and stakeholders
  • Architecture tools which support ArchiMate

Entry level
To attend this training course, at least several month of architecture experience is mandatory.
